Nebraska SOBE No Fear CX Weekend; November 17-18, 2007 Pioneers Park, Lincoln, NE Cyclo-cross racing returns to Pioneers Park in southwest Lincoln for an 8th year. As one of the most beautiful settings in the Midwest, Pioneers Park offers up rolling terrain, a fast barrier section and the infamous “Hooligan Hill.” In years past, this weekend has seen temperatures in the 50’s followed by heavy, wet snow, driving rain and other classic cyclo-cross conditions. BONUS LINCOLN CX WEEKEND PAYOUT: Top rider in points from Men 1/2/3 and Women (Open) will receive bonus payout of $50 each. 1st = 10; 2nd = 8; 3rd = 5; 4th = 3; 5th = 2; 6th & after = 1 Race Registration: Available on-site OR online: http://www.velosource.com/. Online registration for all races in the Nebraska Cyclo-cross Series opens Monday, October 8 at 12:00pm CDT Online registration closes at 12:00am the night before each race. Register for additional events on the same day for only $10. Day of registration closes 15 minutes before each race. Series Rules: Riders must present a USAC racing license at rider check-in. Payouts will be made to no more than 50% of the field. USAC annual and 1-day licenses will be available for sale. $10 for 1-day license, $60 for annual. One-day licenses are available for sale to riders competing in the Men 4, Women 4, Juniors or Masters races. Mountain bikes may be used without bar-ends. Flat bars and disc brakes are allowed for USAC cyclo-cross racing. Helmets must be worn at all times when on a bike. Lapped riders finish on the lead lap. Entry fee includes a $2 insurance surcharge for USA Cycling. Nebraska riders must have USAC license to be eligible for USAC State Championship Cyclo-cross medals. Series Points Competition: Points will be awarded to riders in the following race categories: Men 1/2 Men 3 Men Masters 35+ Men Masters 45+ Women (Open) Points will be awarded as follows: 1st 100 2nd 95 3rd 90 4th 85 5th 80 6th 77 7th 74 8th 71 9th 68 10th 65 11th to 15 62 16th to 20th 60 No points awarded after 20th. Tie-breaker = results of the Nebraska Cyclo-cross State Championship, Sunday, November 18, 2007. Must compete in all four races to be eligible for the points championship. Directions: Swanson Park -- From I-80, take Hwy 75 south, exit at Cornhusker Road. Turn right (west) onto Cornhusker Road. Go west approx. 1 mile to what would be 34th St. Look for a brick sign with scrolling letters for the Bellevue Fire Dept Training Center. Turn right, and the park entrance is about 75 yards ahead on the left. Pioneers Park – From I-80, take Hwy 77 South to West Van Dorn exit (watch for sign).
