| February 27th in Shawnee (6:30 PM at the Civic Centre, 13817 Johnson Drive), there will be a nice clinic on how to get around Shawnee by bike, for recreational and practical reasons. What organized ride opportunities are available, how to hook up with other parts of the city, and equipment needs (bicycle and otherwise) for all types of cycling will be covered. Deb Ridgway, KCMO Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator, will be on hand to talk about how riding a bike can be as much fun for adults as it is for children. She will share her vision for creating a bicycle friendly region, the role Kansas City is playing, and how you can change your community.
