Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle Review

There's plenty of room for bad puns ready made for Chamois cremes. Back in the day when some of the staff at Localcycling.com started racing a lot of stuff you sat on was made of real leather. Treating the chamois with some kind of softner was essential. In today's world and synthetic things to sit on, it seems a less likely need. However, staff of both genders at localcycling have tried this product and found it quite beneficial. Let's face it, sometimes 'team shorts' don't have the same comfort and quality of materials as those $200 supershorts. We started using Chamois Butt'r Euro style on a     Full Story

Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Boulevard Cup Bash Previews Natz
Kansas City Metro

Yesterday's 200 plus rider event, The Boulevard Cup, brought 'crossers from around the region to race on the same roads and turf as the upcoming USCF National Cyclocross Championships. The course showed that it could handle the large fields of riders that will compete in December. For those who didn't make it, here are pictures from Roger Harrison, many focusing on the 'double run-up hill'. Sunday saw single boards instead of stairs on this feature, but the challenge of running a steep hill, remounting and riding back down only to turn back and repeat after only a few seconds of recovery is big. This will likely be a key factor at Nationals.

The Boulevard folks also know how to throw a party. An enomous raffle capped off a day of Cajun cuisine (prepared by chef Tony Stewart) and free flowing Boulevard Beer (including previews of some delicacies like 'Sixth Glass" and "Saison".
