Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Plus the tire had a more durable rubber compound, allowing a rider to get training mileage on a tire that was race worthy. We've recently tested the Diamante Pro 2, a slight upgrade over the original. The tires have that same supple…     Full Story

And for you Masters and Juniors:

Remember that for CX, a person is one year older than shown on their 2007 license. I am getting a lot of questions from members, despite the fact this is the third year we are under this rule. This puts the onus on both the rider and official at registration because any rider who shows up with a white license that says, “racing age – 39” is actually 40 for the purpose of CX. That rule is not just for nationals. It is for all CX races commencing now since the CX season is here. I hope that when a rider buys a license on December 2nd, that it will be a yellow license and will be giving the racing age for 2008, in which case the rider’s age will be correct.
