Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. There will be some upcoming 'training' nights on the Tiffany Springs course, but it won't start tonight. The promoters of Boss Cross and the National Championship indicate it's likely riders will be able to preview the venue next week.

Jeremy Haynes, promoter of the Boss Cross events, notes that the correct dates for his events are Nov. 1, Nov. 30th, and Dec. 28th. There had been some confusion regarding a Friday date. Jeremy also notes that his 3 races will be scored as a series.

The opening round of the Series60CX features a night race this Saturday. Jeff Unruh has developed a course under the lights for a unique 'cross experience; add to that experience a course on the Heartland Park dirt track: Heartland Park HPT

Round Two of the DeStad Van Kansas Series will be held at Clinton Lake on Sunday: Chris Cross

A reminder to riders on Wednesday cyclocross training ride: The ride moves to Wyandotte County Park this week. It's a good opportunity to preview the Boulevard Cup AND there will be some testing of some new timing/scoring methods.
