The Tour of Missouri Organizaion will hold a Course Announcement Press Conference on Thursday, February 8th at 2:00 P.M. at the Intercontinental Hotel on the Country Club Plaza! The public is invited to attend. Come out and get the details about this exciting event featuring top ranked cyclists from around the world. Many folks are speculating since this event falls just two weeks before the UCI World Road Championships that this will become a very important tune up race. The Kansas City Bicycle Club held their annual banquet on January 20th. Besides some good food and drink, the agenda included Missouri Bicycle Federation's Laurie Chipman, The Major Taylor Foundation of GKC's Kenneth Walker, Bike for Brain's Ken Sonnenschein, and Brew to Brew Fund Raiser for Cystic Fibrosis' Maggie McCoy. Area rider Richard Gordon sends this: Planet X Bikes (North America) are expanding their program supporting the racing of their owners. I am very pleased to announce Team Planet X Tyros and Team Planet X Masters. Not only will the program be open to triahletes as in 06, but for 2007 will also encompass USA Cycling registered teams. The folks at the Kansas Cycling Association have compiled a good portion of the area races on their 2007 calendar. On February 15th the KCA plans to announce the venues for a full schedule of championships, including: State Men/Women Masters/Juniors (Age Group) Individual Time Trial State Men/Women Elite (Category) Individual Time Trial State Men/Women Masters/Juniors (Age Group) Road Race State Men/Women Elite (Category) Road Race State Men/Women Masters/Juniors (Age Group) Criterium State Men/Women Elite (Category) Criterium State Men/Women Cyclocross (Elite and Age Groups combined) |
