Stage three of the Nature Valley Grain Prix was shortened by rain, but not before Steve Tiford of the Trek Store regional team managed a timely attack for the win. More coverage on www.cyclingnews.com . Yes, we know the pic we've used of Mr. Tilford comes from cyclocross, but we figured he used those well honed skills to score this victory. This just in,  a great incentive to try a very cool event:

"KCOI Boulevard's women's team is offering unlicensed women free entry in the June 25 category 4 road race stage of the Baldwin City Stage Race.  This covers all fees, including a USCF one-day license.  The one-day license receipt can be used toward the purchase of an annual USCF license.

The 35-mile course is flat with the exception of the last two miles, so we believe this is a great race for first-timers!  For more information, visit KCOI's Baldwin City page or contact Teri Stewart ( This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it / 816.582.3593)."
