Hello to you all, This weekend was the Tour of Kansas City, the race that really got things started for MTFGKC last year when my son Christian placed first in the jr. class race and became the first African-American to ever reach the podium in the 43 year history of the Tour. The first day of the Tour is held up at our favorite spot, Cliff Drive. |

Hello all, I hope you that all of you are doing well. I would like to take a moment and invite you to the last planned event for MTFGKC in 2006. There are a lot of folks out there who have been telling me all year long that they have been meaning to come out to our weekly Saturday group ride, to ride with us or just to make a donation. A lot of you have not made it yet, and I understand that people have other important things to do... so I want to let you know about a way and a time that you can finally come out and show your support for MTFGKC. |

You know how you can get so busy that the things you know that you should be doing don't get done because of the things you should be doing? You get up everyday to do things you should be doing, while the whole time you know you should be doing other things that you're not. "As soon as I get done doing things," you tell yourself, "I am going to get back to doing the things I should be doing."
Well, as crazy as all that sounds, that is exactly how it has been for me since May. And it is aslo my flimsy excuse for not being in contact with all of you readers and supporters of the Major Taylor Foundation of Greater Kansas City. But, I am back now...from doing things...but only long enough to let you know what we have been up to...and then it's back to doing MORE things. |
