The localcycling.com news team has been hearing some 'smack' talk over the last couple of weeks about a certain youthful local rider (i.e. Chris Wallace) being the guy to win the 3's at the Joe Martin Stage Race. Well, that talk was entirely accurate: Check out the results here. Plenty of other local riders in the categories. Bike week is ready to kick off on Monday with localcycling.com riders doing recovery rides both north and south (check the black box with 'upcoming rides' for details). AND don't forget to click on the banner ads on our pages, some of the advertisers are offering Bike Week specials, and they're the folks that keep us in the business of bringing you localcycling news. |

Around the Kansas City Metro, May could be designated as Time Trial Month. First we have the Kansas Masters State Championship TT on a hilly course near Auburn. Then it's the Jesse Blancarte Memorial 10K on classic Gardner course. The folks signed up for the Corporate Challenge race a shorty around the Kansas Speedway. On the 29th it's the Capps-Rebound 20K near Topeka. Continuing on into June, on the 5th, it's the Epic TT again at Gardner. |
