The year of 2005 has, for my family and I, been one in which we have become closer than ever before. My wife and I have finally found something, cycling, in which we all are interested in, and make it a vehicle by which we can take on our share of responsibility to impact positive change in our community. I feel good about that, because I think that is a responsibility of a father, as head of the family. It’s like I have taken another step towards being a more complete husband and father. It feels good to know that you are handling your responsibilities, don’t you agree? |

One of the area's powerhouse teams will have some new faces for 2006. This from Mark Neace, "HRRC has added several new members to the team for 2006. The HRRC team for 2006 is fast, hungry and willing to do what it takes ..... we believe that these changes are going to make the team stronger, better and faster...HRRC and BikeSource are not afraid of change. Both are looking into the future and the future is very bright. HRRC has a reputation of pulling together the best riders in the Midwest and allowing them to grow and move on to bigger and better things, ala Brian Jensen. The team believes it will foster similar accomplishments with the new squad."

Sketchy, muddy, icy, rutted. Those words and more describe the course on the final
day of competition in Providence, R.I. Catherine Walberg (15th) and Jen Tilley (36th) both rode quite
well in the Women's Elite event despite the challenging conditions. Also contested at the same venue was the
Liberty Invitational, featuring cyclocross racers from nearly every
previously contested National Championshiop category. The event was won
by freshly crowned Elite champ Todd Wells. Steve Tilford placed 10th
and Tony Wilhelm came in at 23rd. |
