While almost all fields are full up for the four days of racing beginning Friday, September 1, these events are still great to spectate. The Gateway Cup features exciting courses and top teams from around the region will be competing and hanging out in between. Here's the link to the combined flyers, bring a picnic and pick your spot.

Looking for Something Fun to Do on Friday Night?
Abby and Amanda, The Ditty Bops, are riding their bicycles between stops on their nationwide tour. The Local Cycling news team escorted them out of Kansas City on Monday morning and set them en route to Columbia (partly via the Katy Trail). We suspect they'll be arriving in St. Louis via that route as well.
Saturday morning is sure to see the Ditty Bops up early riding from St. Louis to Springfield, IL. If your ride plans aren't set in stone, plan to join them for all or part of the ride. (They're good company in addition to being marvelous singers, songwriters and entertainers.)

Head to Jefferson City, Mo for some great racing on Saturday, July 22 and Sunday, July 23! The fun includes a unique circuit race on a crazy, cool course at the National Guard base on Saturday, and the State Time Trial Championships on Sunday. How much more fun can you have?!

This weekend is the challenging (read hilly) Missouri USCF Road Race Championship in Columbia. The race is part of a weekend of events featuring street sprints and a downtown criterium with some nifty brick sections. Flyer. |
