Please join us for a celebration of the Major Taylor Foundation of Greater Kansas City's first birthday. This event will be held on April 15, 2006 from 2-5 PM at the Downtown Kansas City Public Library, 14 W. 10th St.We will show a short film (hopefully on the life of Major Taylor), serve refreshments, outline the goals of the foundation AND give away 50 free bicycles to kids. Special thanks to Bikes and Trikes for Tykes for providing bicycles! The Major Taylor Foundation is a Kansas City based nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote a healthy community through bicycling with an emphasis on African American youth, by providing education, resource and opportunity.
