There's plenty of room for bad puns ready made for Chamois cremes. Back in the day when some of the staff at Localcycling.com started racing a lot of stuff you sat on was made of real leather. Treating the chamois with some kind of softner was essential.In today's world and synthetic things to sit on, it seems a less likely need. Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Plus the tire had a more durable rubber compound, allowing a rider to get training mileage on a tire that was race worthy. AIDS Bicycle Challenge to take place on Mill Creek Streamway Trail

Charity Ride Benefiting the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City
The second annual AIDS Bicycle Challenge, sponsored by the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2006. This second year event will take place on the Mill Creek Streamway Trail, Shawnee, KS.  Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. and the Ride will start at 9:00 a.m.
We invite individuals and families of all skill levels to join us and exercise their hearts and bodies. Participants can choose from either a 10, 18 or 35 mile ride while enjoying one of Johnson County’s most exhilarating landscapes. In addition, all riders will receive an AIDS Bicycle Challenge t-shirt and will be invited to a post-ride celebration at one of our neighborhood restaurant sponsors.
Chris Hernandez, Reporter, NBC Action News, will serve as this year’s Honorary Chair. Also, we are thrilled that Miller Lite/High Life Sales, The Pitch, Ameriprise Financial and Camp will serve as Major Underwriting Sponsors of the event.

The AIDS Bicycle Challenge is one of the many fundraisers put on by the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City to support local AIDS charities. All funds raised by this event will stay in the Kansas City area to help support the Good Samaritan Project, SAVE Inc., HARCMart and the Kansas City Free Health Clinic.
