The season opening cyclocross for the metro area was attended by over 70 riders  and a fair number of cyclocross supporters. The race was contested on a hard and grassy 2.5K course with two runs per lap. Volunteers from the Sunflowers2Roses group, Trek Bicycle Store of KC, and beer from local Boulevard Brewery and home Meister Mark Jilka kept both the event and core temps cool.
