Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Plus the tire had a more durable rubber compound, allowing a rider to get training mileage on a tire that was race worthy. Curtis Martell and crew put on a very smooth final time trial for the area: Results. An interesting note, the fast time of the day was set by Dean Parker who raced twice...the first time in his category...3's, the second time as a master's 55+.  Guess what....his second try was faster!

Don't forget that Sunday, October 1st is the Octoginta Tour, another great way to enjoy this fine Fall weather.
