Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle Review

There's plenty of room for bad puns ready made for Chamois cremes. Back in the day when some of the staff at Localcycling.com started racing a lot of stuff you sat on was made of real leather. Treating the chamois with some kind of softner was essential. In today's world and synthetic things to sit on, it seems a less likely need. However, staff of both genders at localcycling have tried this product and found it quite beneficial. Let's face it, sometimes 'team shorts' don't have the same comfort and quality of materials as those $200 supershorts. We started using Chamois Butt'r Euro style on a     Full Story

Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. From Roger Harrison:
"After winding your way through Curtis's super course at Clinton Lake, Saturday November 11, 2006, just stop by the Leavenworth High School on Sunday, November 12, 2006 for the Vet Cross.  Registration starts at 1000.
This year's course has some slight changes.  The approach to Bruce's wall, the straightaway to Gerard's single track through the woods, and the road around the Alex's court have changed.  You still will remember that Bruce's wall is still the same, Christopher's stairway to heaven, Brendan's cambered road and Chris's barrel remain the same.
There will be prime(s) for each race.  Each racer who receives a medal will also receive a special prize for this event.  Cash prizes will be in cash, and USPS prizes will be on site.
Veteran racers will receive a special prize also!
Senior riders!  Come on all, I have Masters for men and women.  If I get someone over 65(female) and or 75(male) they race for free, and I will buy their one day license.
If the course is muddy, I will be setting up a wash point for your bikes.
Bring a change of clothes, the shower room is available for your use, soap and towels are not provided.
Check the prize list out!
Any female veteran finishing in the top three of their category will also receive a membership in WIMSA.
PARKING.  Racers park in the East Side of South Parking Lot.  It will be marked.  Teams, The Wheel Cyclery, and the VFW will set up in the West Side Parking Lot.
