Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Plus the tire had a more durable rubber compound, allowing a rider to get training mileage on a tire that was race worthy. Cold temperatures plus a cruel North wind slowed the times, but a hardy group of chrono heads showed up for the first of the monthly NEET Time Trials at Gardner Airport. Chris and Keri Hess, with some holding help from Mark Breeding, ran a very smooth event, despite having to operate timing equipment with very cold fingers.
