We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Plus the tire had a more durable rubber compound, allowing a rider to get training mileage on a tire that was race worthy. From Calvert Guthrie: Kansas City Bikes & Trikes for Tykes & Adults must close its doors. We're being evicted from our warehouse--it's being razed next month. 1415 IRON Street North Kansas City Warehouse district.

We have hundreds of bikes that must go NOW. If we don't sell it or give it away, it goes to the dumpster.

Prices on all bikes are dirt low and are sold as is.
Some restored bikes remain but are going quickly--
they are not the only values in stock.
Many of the older bikes are loaded with
hard to find, barely-used, retro parts...
freewheels, Suntour parts, thumbshifters,
bottle cages, racks, saddles, long-reach
brakes for 650 wheel conversions, &c. All proceeds go to paying our overhead
and for storage of our tools while the
organization is reformed. Plenty of bicycle wonks will be on hand
