Jim Whittaker of VeloTek tells localcycling.com that a flyer is coming soon for the upcoming Spring Fling racing in Lawrence. He says the format, classes and cost will be similar to last year. The second Bike Week Planning Meetingwill be held Tuesday, February 19th 6:30 - 8:00 PM at theTony Aguirre Community Center 2050 West Penway in Kansas City, Mo. "Please bring your ideas for events and be prepared to be the leader to bring the idea to fruition."

The City of Shawnee and Localcycling.com will host a clinic on February 27th at the Shawnee Community Center near Johnson Drive and Pflumm. The topics will include recreational and practical cycling in Shawnee, how to connect up with other parts of the metro (including programs and rides) as well as equipment and bicycle choices.
