Chamois Butt'r Eurostyle Review

There's plenty of room for bad puns ready made for Chamois cremes. Back in the day when some of the staff at Localcycling.com started racing a lot of stuff you sat on was made of real leather. Treating the chamois with some kind of softner was essential. In today's world and synthetic things to sit on, it seems a less likely need. However, staff of both genders at localcycling have tried this product and found it quite beneficial. Let's face it, sometimes 'team shorts' don't have the same comfort and quality of materials as those $200 supershorts. We started using Chamois Butt'r Euro style on a     Full Story

Vittoria Diamante Pro 2 Review

We've been fans of higher thread count clincher tires for a long time. The newsteam has used a number of Vittoria products over the years both tubular and clincher. A few years back when Vittoria released the original Diamante Pro (Pro being the Vittoria folks designation for 'folding') we were very impressed. A 220 TPI thread count gave it a very supple ride, maybe not quite as smooth as their flagshipo Corsa Open tubular series, but still very nice. Criterium Cancelled PDF Print E-mail
Written by Mark Thomas
Friday, 16 May 2008

Just in from the STL message board:

"Unfortunately, we must cancel the May 25 Chesterfield Criterium. The complete closure of Edison Road will not be possible, and other potential options will not allow for a safe venue. The fault is completely mine for confusion regarding the permissions and possibilities for the use of Edison for a bicycle race.

I would like to thank THF Realty for giving us permission to use their property their efforts to make the race happen.

The May 24 Centaur Time Trial will still be held, as scheduled, and the purse for this event will be raised (details to follow).

I apologize for the late notice and for disrupting any plans you may have made for that weekend. Refunds will be made promptly for those who preregistered; I will work with 2wheeltech to get address information and cut checks as soon as possible. I will contact those who registered for both the May 24 TT and the May 25 crit to see if you are still interested in doing the TT.

Again, I apologize. If you have any questions or complaints my contact information is listed on the race flyer.

Jeff Kloha"
