Monday Night Movement Written by Mark Thomas    Monday, 16 June 2008 We're very impressed at the number of rides popping up aroung the metro. Monday offers what we at localcycling.com have been calling a 'recovery' ride for several years. It's a great night for a social ride that backs off the speed and distance (provided you've done hard/long or both over the weekend). It's also a great opportunity to mentor folks new to group rides. I log everything (resting heartrate, meals, cadence, wattage, mileage, you name it...) I keep a basic journal of all my rides (time, temperature, effort, how I felt) I'm not very consistent...sometimes I log, sometimes I don't, sometimes a lot of detail, sometimes none I don't log anything...ever. My training partner logs everything...I don't need to!
