We're getting closer to road season with Spring Fling crits starting up on February 24th .
The KCA calendar is beginning to flesh out a bit, but we're sad to report the loss of the GP VeloTek Stage Race.
We do know that there are several fresh road events in the works. Stay tuned.
Here's the link to the Kansas Cycling Association calendar as of 2/5/18. Spring Fling and Perry Dam races are coming up quick. Expect lots more events to be added soon.
Expect the midweek training events (Wednesday Worlds Criterium and Gardner Time Trials) to start up late Spring.

Jeff Arnaud brings us the 7th Annual Lake Dabinawa Grinder. A very popular ride with a route that all ability levels will enjoy. This ride will tour North of Lawrence and visit Lake Dabinawa . Meet in the Lawrence visitor center parking lot across from Johnny's Tavern. Cross bike or MTB needed. For those who want some post ride food, maybe a crowd favorite pizza, head over to Johnny's Tavern after the ride."
Cyclocross season is coming to a close. This weekend, you can watch the World Championships from Valkenburg at Spokes Cafe.
Some cold riding likely this weekend. Bundle up and head to the Beer shadow day event at Martin City Brewing Company. Get a preview on the upcoming Kandango tours.
There's also a healthy team time trial event. Put together five of your friends and get some early season hard in on Saturday: Jacomo Classic Winter TTT
The final weekend of the area cyclocross season featured two races at Herman Laird Park in Shawnee. Saturday's Cross In the New Year was contested in bitter cold but dry conditions. Sunday's Grote Prijs Shawnee conditions were slightly warmer but with snow on the ground and more wind. Meanwhile the European cyclocross season continues...
