Tuesday Sept 7th kicks off cyclocross in the area with the Renaissance CX Clinic in Lawrence. A great grassy venue and some top notch teaching.

Wed Sept 8th the KCOI/Boulevard clinics at Herman Laird Park in Shawnee begin. Once again, led by Mike Berning and crew, basics will be covered each night as well as advanced techniques.

Sat Sept 11th is a full session from Source Endurance (with some expert help from the KCCX riders). Also held at Herman Laird Park.

Watch for some bonus items at these events; including test product from the Reynolds Wheels and Challenge Tire folks.

The September NEET Time Trial at Gardner is postponed until  Thursday 9/9 because of foul weather (including some serious lightning).  Chris Hess and crew made a good call for safety. The TT will start at the usual 6:30ish first rider off.

The Boss Cross folks have info up, including a teaser on the Missouri State Cyclocross Champs being held on this side of the state.

Need a long ride this weekend? Gorilla Century in the flatlands near Pittsburg, KS would be an excellent choice.

There are still a few road events sprinkled around the metro and region left in the season, but the buzz is about cyclocross.

A short hike to Wichita will give you an early 'fix' for your CX habit on Sept. 11th and 12th.

Closer to home are a series of clinics in Lawrence (starting 9/7) and Shawnee (starting 9/8). Both offer several weeks of skills and drills.

Source Endurance offers a comprehensive clinic on 9/11 at Herman Laird Park in Shawnee.

The kickoff race for the KC Metro is on 9/18: The KC Cup Cross, opening round of Series60CX.

Our newsdesk has it on good authority that there will not be a DeStad Series this year, but individual races will still be happening on the orginal scheduled dates.  Stay tuned.
